Youth in Action
The initiative engaged a core group of 10 youth in Jane-Finch to lead several projects to benefit the community. The group created a documentary called 'Peace, Life, Struggle,' where they engaged their peers to talk about issues and address misconceptions in the community.

The Youth in Power (YiP) initiative consists of a core group of five youth leaders who work with young people living in Toronto Community Housing communities across the 13 priority neighbourhoods to empower them to advocate for themselves.

Through the Youth Justice Education Program (YJEP), young people who have been involved with the criminal justice system will work with a skilled researcher to develop training modules for organizations and service providers that support youth involved with the justice system.

The Youth-LEAPS initiative will develop and implement a coordinated, community-based response to educational attainment in Toronto’s east-end priority neighbourhoods. It will create supports for racialized and criminalized youth who are ‘falling through the cracks’ of the existing education system.
