Helping Adolescents Improve their Reflections (H.A.I.R.)

The initiative focused on helping young women from the Jane-Finch neighbourhood build their self confidence and life skills.

On December 21, 2007 the program held an "I AM…" graduation ceremony that honoured 16 graduates from the summer and fall cycles. Two of those young women were hired as cycle facilitators.

There was camaraderie among the young women after a couple of sessions and further development of intergenerational friendships, which diversified engagements and opened up existing cliques.
